Troubled....
It's been a frustrating week so far. I am once again trying to quick smoking, I'm working through an assignment from my wife and I's adoption class that's causing me to have to deal with some pretty emotional issues, nothing seems to be getting done at work or if it is its taking about twice as long as it should, and to top it all off I have the sinus headache from hell. That's right, sucks to be me!

I have a question. How do I write my autobiography, the story of my life, in under 5 pages? If that was all there was, wouldn't that be just a little sad? I mean there's more than that in one day, most of the time. Or maybe there's not, and I'm just wishing there was. Who knows?

Well, I'm gonna let you go. Just wanted to sort of say what was on my mind. I'm thinking about posting my autobiography when I'm done. Don't know if I will though. There are some things about me I don't know if I want the world to know. Might be good therapy though, I'll have to think on it. Anyway, I'll see you when I see you. Best wishes.

Bruce,

It's about 5 till 6, and I have to meet Mom and Wayne in 1.5 hours to watch Riverdance. Oh, and instead of working hard on my project report all day, I've been hardly working. With 4.5 days(maybe 5.5 if I ask nicely) left to go, and maybe %25 done.
Yeah, I have motivation problems. But I'll manage somehow.
Anyway, if you're going to write an autobiography in 5 pages, it sounds a bit like when they say "tell me about yourself" in an interview. They DO want to know about you, but not about every little detail, and it's a chance to show how your whole life has prepared you for the job.
A life in 5 pages. Now granted, you're only 26 years of age(right?), that's not much space, especially the way YOU write!:) But, I guess you have to touch on just the main points, especially the turning points in your life. I think this is a way of taking stock of things, and getting the overview of your past instead of being in the middle of it every day. Does that make sense? It reminds me sometimes of what I have felt like when I have visited Ireland with my dad, and have hung out with my cousins and relatives there. There is a sense of my looking at it from the inside out, even though there is also this hugely deep connection, because of course half of my genetics/culture/whatever is from there.
What I can tell you, and I'm sure you already know, is that writing out the stuff that happens is a useful way to put things in perspective and to analyze what has happened. I've already told you of what I went through in college(the first time) ten years ago, emotionally. Writing helped with that, even though most of it seems to have been just plain stream-of-consciousness stuff. I may write more on this later. Take care, and have patience with work. Remember, you have to earn people's trust and respect before you start opening your can of whoopass.:)

Yo Bruceton! Dude, 5 pages for an autobiography....hmmm, that's interesting. Just write your entire life story and choose some of the best moments/not so great moments...show them "you". OK, so I really don't know what I'm talking about here, but I've got a cold and am medicated up the wazoo, so don't feel bad :). Anyhow, hi to the wife for me!

I think you need to just use the highlights of your life so far. The things that you are proud of and maybe a little of why you think and do the things you do.

Hope it all goes well.
